McAtamney’s wanted to reduce the number of print machines on sites due to there being a mix of models and functionality, they had over 25 various models. They also wanted to streamline their purchasing process at each location as each was buying toner and ink cartridges from various suppliers at different prices, and paying for adhoc maintenance when machines broke down, this made their printing costs unknown.
They wanted to rationalise but make a saving on their print. They also wanted machines that would be fit for purpose for each location and wanted the same model in each location for ease of use for staff.
What we did
All sites were visited by our MPS team and a full print audit was carried out including staff questionnaires.
Banner introduced them to the full managed print service for their A4 devices. We rationalised the fleet to 15 HP Page wide multi-function printers (MFPs) to one per site that was sufficient for their requirements, now with a monthly cost per copy per site, service/maintenance agreement and all locations having the same new HP hardware installed. The customer has not only saved around 25% but streamlined their processes.
McAtamney’s saved 25% against their original print solution, but also streamlined their printer models, purchasing and invoicing process. One consolidated bill per month showing their breakdown of prints.
